Tammy (Movie review)

Tammy movie; Tammy; Leigh-Ann Ludwig; Leigh's Lounge; Leighs lounge; www.leighslounge.co.za

What do you do when you collide with a deer on your way to work, get fired for being repeatedly late, contaminate the working area, have your car die on you on the way home only to find your husband, who has never cooked you dinner, enjoying a romantic dinner with your neighbour?

You walk two doors down to your parent’s house and ask your mom for her car keys. She refuses to give you the keys so you ask for your grandmother’s car keys but she will only lend you her car if she can go with you.

This was the start of a very interestng road trip to Niagara Falls for Tammy (Melissa McCarthy) and her grandmother Pearl (Susan Sarandon), who not only had to deal with each other but also with their own issues

The movie was enjoyable but more a DVD night movie than anything else.

The movie also stars Kathy Bates, Allison Janney, Gary Cole, Sandra Oh and Dan Ackroyd.

Directed by Ben Falcone

Running time – 96 minutes
