The current World No. 5 tennis player, Rafael Nadal of Spain, is looking in good nick for a possible tenth French Open title in June this year.

Nadal, who last won a Grand Slam title in 2014, his ninth at the French Open, has watched his form and ranking slip until 2016, when won his 28th Masters title in Monte Carlo and then partnered fellow Spaniard, Marc Lopez, to win the Gold medal in Doubles at the Rio Olympics.

His 2017 campaign got off to a great start, when he reached the final of this year’s Australian Open, but narrowly lost to his good friend and old rival, Roger Federer.

With Andy Murray and Novak Djokovic, both experiencing a drop in form for various reasons and Federer not concentrating on the French Open, Nadal is again dominating the clay court season, after winning his 29th Masters title in April. It was the tenth time that Nadal won the title in Monte Carlo and he followed that up with his tenth title in Barcelona.

Nadal is currently taking part in the Mutua Madrid Open in Spain and will either face Joao Sousa or Fabio Fognini in his second match after receiving a first round bye.

Nadal has won this title four times already.
