Defending champion, Novak Djokovic and South Africa’s Kevin Anderson resumed their match on Court One today.

When bad light stopped play yesterday, the scores were level at two sets a piece with momentum clearly in Djokovic’s favour.

Rain delayed proceedings today and further bad weather unsettled Djokovic, who was battling to read the aggressive Anderson serve. Djokovic had to dig deep to avoid being broken. It was only with the scores level at 5-5 that Anderson, who may have then realised the magnitude of the moment, twice double faulted, allowing the champion to break serve and then hold his own for a 6-7(6) 6-7(6) 6-1 6-4 7-5 win.
