World No.1, Angelique Kerber needed 1 hour and 15 minutes to reach her first WTA Finals final in Singapore after she defeated the defending champion, Agnieszka Radwanska 6-2 6-1 today.

In a match, that did not emulate the earlier thrilling other semi-final encounter between Dominika Cibulkova and Svetlana Kuznetsova, Radwanska made an unprecedented number of errors and was unable to vary her game and put pressure on the No. 1 seed.

There’s not much difference in the playing styles of Kerber and Radwanska so one could say that Radwanska faced a much better version of herself today.

Kerber, who is brimming with confidence after winning this year’s Australian and US Open Grand Slam titles, being a finalist at Wimbledon and also ending the year as the No. 1 Ladies Tennis player, continued her good form with her fourth consecutive win during this tournament.

Kerber will now need to defeat Dominika Cibulkova for the title tomorrow. The two, who battled a thrilling three-setter opening round match on Sunday, which Kerber won, are both going for their first WTA Finals title. Kerber was lucky to have won Sunday’s encounter with Cibulkova being the unlucky loser.
