Petra Kvitova of the Czech Republic ended her season off in style, when she defeated Elina Svitolina 6-4 6-2 to claim the WTA Elite Trophy in Zhuhai, China today.
The former World No. 2, who has seen her rankings slip out of the Top 10 this year, dominated the Elite Trophy proceedings this week, not dropping a single set in all her matches.
Kvitova, who parted ways with her coach after the US Open in September, has now managed to complete a successful Asian swing with two titles in the bag, before heading off to France to join her Fed Cup teammates for their final against the French team on 12 & 13 November.
Should the Czech Republic win, it will be a fantastic boost for Kvitova, who will be aiming to make her way back into the Top 10 in 2017.
