Rafael Nadal clinches his tenth Monte Carlo Masters title

The King of Clay, Rafael Nadal needed just 1hr 16min to sweep aside fellow Spaniard, Albert Ramos-Vinolas 6-1 6-3, to clinch his historical 10th Monte Carlo Masters title earlier today.

The 4th seeded Nadal, who saw off Kyle Edmund, Alexander Zverev, Diego Schwartzman and David Goffin en route to the final, continued his domination of this tournament, not giving the 15th seed, Ramos-Vinolas a chance to find his feet.

This win will certainly boost Nadal’s confidence ahead of the French Open, which starts at the end of May.

With Andy Murray and Novak Djokovic’s form both being on the down, we may well be looking at a repeat of the Australian Open Men’s final between Nadal and Roger Federer.
