Eddie Jones’ English rugby team broke their 10 year drought against the Boks when they defeated the visitors 37-21 at Twickenham today.

The Boks struck first with a penalty and drop goal off Pat Lambie’s boot, before England’s left wing, Jonny May crossed the line for the first of their four tries. Lock, Courtney Lawes was awarded his first international try, albeit a controversial one, in the 35th minute and at halftime, the hosts led 20-9.

The hosts ran in two more tries in the second half, courtesy of George Ford and Owen Farrell, who also scored 14 points off his boot, while the visitors, who performed slightly better in the latter 40 minutes, crossed the line twice (Johan Goosen and Willie Le Roux).

The overall performance by the Boks continues to disappoint and as former Springbok captain, flyhalf, rugby specialist and panelist, Naas Botha pointed out afterwards, why, when we have the coaching staff in place, are the panelists still pointing out the same mistakes week after week.
