Novak and Serena continue to dominate

Day 6 of the US Open and top seeds Novak Djokovic and Serena Williams continue to dominate.

Djokovic disposed of American hopeful Sam Querrey 6-3 6-2 6-2 while Williams defeated fellow American Varvara Lepchenko 6-3 6-3. Williams will now face Estonian Kaia Kanepi who continued her good run by defeating Carla Suarez-Navarro (15) 7-5 6-0.

German Phillip Kohlschreiber (22) dashed American hopes by defeating John Isner (13) 7-6 4-6 7-6 7-6 to set up a fourth round match against Novak Djokovic.

Serbian qualifier, Aleksandra Krunic who defeated Madison Keys earlier in the week, claimed an even bigger scalp when she ousted the third seeded Russian, Petra Kvitova 6-4 6-4 in the biggest win of her career to date.

Other players to advance included Jo-Wilfried Tsonga,  Andy Murray, Tommy Robredo, Kei Nishikori, Milos Raonic, Victoria Azarenka, Eugenie Bouchard, Flavia Pennetta and Casey Dellacqua.
