Zverev halts Sir Andy’s dream

With the departure of Novak Djokovic in the second round, the No. 1 Men’s seed, Andy Murray from Britain must have fancied his chances to at last win the Australian Open Men’s Tennis championship.

He was however destined to discover today that it will continue to elude him, when he lost his fourth round match to Mischa Zverev of Germany, 7-5 5-7 6-2 6-4 on the Rod Laver Arena.

Zverev was relentless during their 3 hour and 33 minutes match, and when he did make mistakes, Murray was unable to capitalise on them. Murray had chances in the first two sets but let them slip away. There was not much separating the two players except Zverev’s absolute determination to give it his all, and today, not even the No. 1, could stop him.
