Novak Djokovic and Serena Williams look on course to claim yet another Grand Slam Open title as they comfortably marched on during Day 10 of the US Open.

In the Men’s draw, Djokovic faced old rival, Andy Murray who was no walkover in his four set victory, 7-6 6-7 6-2 6-4.

In the other match, Kei Nishikori (10) who is having a great tournament needed five tough sets to send Stanislas Wawrinka (3) home and himself into his first Grand Slam semi final. The score was 3-6 7-5 7-6 6-7 6-4.

In the Ladies draw, Serena Williams trumped Italy’s Flavia Pennetta 6-3 6-2 to book a place in Friday’s semi final against Ekaterina Makarova who continued her good run by trouncing former two-time finalist, Victoria Azarenka 6-4 6-2.

In quarter final action today will be Roger Federer (2) vs Gael Monfils (20) and Tomas Berdych (6) vs Marin Cilic (14).
